A countryside envied world wide, the "green lungs" of Italy, which have conquered the hearts of nature lovers of every nation. The Tuscan Maremma Nature Reserve has been protected since 1975. It extends over 100 square kms. from the sea to the Appennines. The area is comprised of the Uccelina Mountains, the Pine wood of Marina di Alberese, the Mouth of the river Ombrone and the Marshlands of Trappola, and constitutes a precious mosaic of ecosystems.
A mild climate, a vast array of activities - from wellness, to gourmet, to sports, to beaches - and a striking land that stretches between Mediterranean coast and Tuscany's rolling hills: the ideal location for an unforgettable vacation! Montebelli Agriturismo and Country Hotel 4* is located in the beautiful Maremma land within the Tuscany region. It’s positioned only twenty minutes away from the sea, so guests can choose between the quintessential Tuscan country life or the beach. Montebelli offers the original Agriturismo and the more modern Country Hotel, all situated within the farm and all sharing common grounds and facilities: tennis, outdoor pool, biking, trekking, health club and free Wifi connection.
Montebelli has two main residential areas which allow our guests to fully experience a warm and peaceful environment: The Agriturismo (twenty-one rooms all together) and the Country Hotel (sixteen Deluxe rooms and eight Suites). The Montebelli Country Hotel was opened in 2009. It is a modern style four-star hotel gracefully tucked into its natural setting. In respect of the environment, all materials used are eco-friendly as well as photovoltaic and solar panels and self-controlled heating and air conditioning.
In the same area there is the reception building, the meeting room, the bar, a reading room with a beautiful fireplace, the pool room, the Spa, the tennis court and the horse stables.
The rooms are 24, 2 of which equipped for guests with disabilities. The style and furnishing is modern. The rooms are spacious and comfortable as are the bathrooms which all provide double basins, a shower and a bath-tub and a dressing room. They are equipped with a telephone, flat screen satellite television, minibar, safe, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers for the Spa, a set of courtesy bath products and air-conditioning. The Montebelli Agriturismo overlooks a beautiful shady park, perfect for children who enjoy playing outdoors freely and safely. In the same area there is a bar, the restaurant, the lounge, a reading room, the outdoor pool and the children’s playhouse.The rooms are 21, 2 of which are equipped for guests with disabilities. They are furnished in a simple but comfortable manner with 19th century Tuscan furniture. They provide heating, hairdryer, safe, TV set, telephone, ceiling fan and a small set of courtesy bath products.

Wellness SPA
Inspired by a philosophy based on simplicity, the Montebelli Spa offers its guests, all year-round, maximum comfort to keep the balance between mind and body, integrating physical and sporting activities.
The Spa has a heated swimming pool equipped with hydro massage jets, counter-current swimming and a massaging waterfall fountain, as well as a Turkish bath, sauna, relaxing showers, resting areas where herbal teas are served, relaxing rooms with chromotherapy, two massage cabins and changing rooms. The health centre for our guests is free of charge.
The Wellness Center was specially designed by our architects to allow our guests to have direct contact with the outer natural environment, especially during the summer season, and it was conceived for people with disabilities to gain easy access.
Our highly qualified staff uses exclusively natural and essential oils and offers a wide range of massages and beauty treatments for all seasons. We believe that our general wellbeing comes from the balance of body and mind along with regular outdoor activity and a healthy diet. We strive to give you a holistic wellness experience. Sport&Nature Far from the maddening crowd, Montebelli is the ideal place for relaxing, keeping in good shape by playing sports and being totally immersed in a natural environment.
The farm is set within a beautiful park where children can play and have fun. There are tracks and walkways to be traced on foot or by bike that lead through the typical Mediterranean vegetation as well as many different activities for both grown ups and children.
One of the best ways to experience the beauty of nature and the glory of the Tuscan countryside is to explore it all with horses. The landscape offers vineyards, olive groves, rolling hills, and miles of dreamy horizon. La Tenuta
For the last quarter of a century we have established our farming and hospitality business in Tuscany where we were among the pioneers in the Maremma area to introduce organic farming for both wine and extra virgin olive oil. The tradition of wine making is deeply rooted in our family history as this is the 5th generation that has been involved in the production of wine which started in Puglia with the Primitivo di Manduria. We are located in Caldana - southern Tuscany in the province of Grosseto, 200km north of Rome and 135km south of Pisa. The property spreads over 100 hectares of gently undulating terrain.
It enjoys the closeness of the sea but it is protected from its salinity by a sloping hill thus granting the perfect setting for our grapes and olives.
We have two distinct vineyards, Zampinaio and Giannino both 8 hectares and both DOC Monteregio Massa Marittima. Zampinaio grows only Sangiovese whilst Giannino grows Sangiovese, Sirah and Montepulciano. The Cusine
With an accent on fresh local produce and simple, traditional recipes, the food is one of the highlights of Montebelli Agiturismo and Country Hotel. This is certainly not a typical hotel cuisine but rather what you would eat in a good Italian home kitchen.
Montebelli's Chef, Clarence, who has been with us for many years, does not compromise on quality and only uses fresh ingredients and seasonal products. The kitchen garden with its bio-organic fruits and vegetables bring to life scents and tastes from the past; it is a pleasure to smell the proper scent of rosemary, basil and salvia or taste a simple and yet refined "bruschetta" with our tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.
The two weekly barbecues of meat and fish are particularly popular amongst Montebelli's guests. A vegetarian selection is always available.
